Thank you everyone, whether friend or stranger, who helped make this con so memorable. Truly had the best time & I'm overwhelmingly grateful to be able to have these experiences & opportunities.
The word "community" was raised several times over the 4 days for various reasons. Such as during takedown when my whole display collapsed on top of me and cracked me in the head 😅 Instantly came friends & unknown peers to check on me & help pick everything up without even having to ask. Such as the cosplayers who raised hundreds of dollars for Sick Kids. Or when one of us was robbed & we shared her thoughtful warning across the whole convention, then turned up in droves to sell out her stall the next day. Or generally supporting & encouraging each other, lending items & covering stalls so solo artists could go to the washroom.
All in all, a wonderful time was had & I can't wait for the next! My heart is so full after this weekend. Love you all! 💜
